Kukkia...kukkia....!!!!

Tänään kävin ostamassa valtavan määrän ulkokukkia. Istutukset ruukkuihin ja amppeleihin odottavat. Se on huomisen hommia kun aurinko taas paistaa. En yleensä osta näin paljon kukkia kun olen niitä kovin laiska kastelemaan. Nyt oli kuitenkin hyvä syy tehdä niin. Meillä on tulossa oman tyttären ylioppilasjuhlat. Näin on kunniakkaasti saatu yksi lukio suoritettua loppuun. Sivu käännetään juhlien jälkeen ja odotellaan sisäänpääsykokeiden tuloksia. Mutta ensin JUHLITAAN!

Ennen juhlia kuitenkin olen saanut paketin taas Ranskasta. Tilasin hiukan koristenauhaa, muutamia kehyksiä sekä ihania nappeja. Valitettavasti sain kuitenkin näitä romanttisia nappeja vain  kuusi kappaletta. Oli tukusta loppuneet. Lupasivat toimittaa loput heinäkuussa. No tässä alla kuitenkin teille esimakua millaisia ne ovat....

Tilasin myöskin hauskoja lankarulla kankaalla päällystettyjä nappeja. Väreinä näillä napeilla on valkoinen ja pellava. Koko näillä napeilla on 32mm.

Ihan kiva tuoda kaupan sivuille välillä muutakin kuin kankaita ja malleja. Kaikki hyvät ideat saa laittaa minulle tulemaan. Toteutetaan niitä sitten aina kun on mahdollisuutta.

Today I bought a bunch of outdoor flowers. Now I just have to pot the flowers. That will have to wait for tomorrow when the sun is shining again. I don't normally buy this amount of flowers because I am so lazy at watering them. However now I had a good excuse to do so because one of my daughters' is graduating next week and we are having a party to celebrate this achievement. After the party we are going to wait for the results from her admission test. But first we are going to CELEBRATE!

Before all this celebration I got a package from France. I ordered some ribbons, frames and lovely buttons. Unfortunately I got only six of these romantic buttons. They had run out at the wholesale. They told me they would send the rest at the end of July. I also ordered some buttons that were covered with some fabric. There are pictures above!

It's nice to bring something different things and not just always fabrics and different designs. You can send me all your ideas and I will try to carry out these ideas whenever there's a possibility to do so.

Vihdoin ja viimein....!!!

Tänään posti toi kauan kaivatut Creation Point de Croix lehdet. Olin tilannut lehdet hiukan kauempaakin aina numerosta 16 asti. Lehdet on nyt laitettu kaupan sivuille, mutta en ole ehtinyt vielä kuvata noita lehtien sisäaukeamia, joista teille olisi paljon iloa. Teen sen heti huomenna päivänvalon aikaan.

At last!

Today the mailman brought me the long awaited Creation Point de Croix - magazines. I have ordered the magazine all the way from the 16th issue. The magazines have now been posted on the store's website, but I have not yet had a chance to photograph the inside foldings, which would be of much use and fun to you. I will do it tomorrow during the daytime.

Postissa tuli myöskin tilaamani kahden uuden suunnittelijan mallit. Eräs asiakas vinkkasi minulle Barbara Anasta, espanjalaisesta suunnittelijasta. Hänellä on todella kauniita malleja, joita otin myyntiin muutaman. Samalla tilasin Faby Reillyn malleja. Faby Reilly on ranskalainen suunnittelija, joka asustaa tällä hetkellä Englannissa. Hänellä on todella kauniita kukkamalleja.

The post also brought me models by two new designers. One of my customers hinted me about Barbara Ana, a Spanish designer. She has exquisite models of which I chose a couple for my store. I also ordered Faby Reilly's models. Faby Reilly is a French designer, who right now lives in England. She has wonderful flower models.

Ihana aurinko!

Voi miten mukavaa kun äitenpäivänä koko perhe oli koolla. Vanhimmainen lapseni yllätti ja tuli valtavan orkideaoksan kanssa kotii viettämään paria lomapäivää. Päivä oli mitä aurinkoisin. Lasten isä grillaili ulkona ja lapset tekivät kaiken muun. Mitä minä teinkään?....otin kaiken ilon irti aurinkotuolilla maaten. Heräsin kun kuola valusi suupielestä...ruoka-aika..Kyllä äitinä on mukavaa!

Tänään tuli postissa kahvintuoksuinen paketti. Olen ottanut valikoimaani uuden Italialaisen suunnittelija The Primiteve Haren. Hän on kolmen vuoden ajan suunnitellut malleja. Hän asuu pohjois-Italiassa ja vielä viime viikolla hän oli onnellinen kun siellä hänen kotikonnuillaan oli vuorilla lunta. Hulluja nuo Italialaiset!? Hän piti minua ihan hulluna kun puhua vaahtosin kesästä. 

Siispä...mahtavia 30 count pellavakankaita. Jokainen kangaspala on erivärinen. Tuoksuvat erittäin kahville.

What a brilliant sunny day!

How wonderful that the whole family was able to get together for Mother's Day. My eldest child surprised me and came home with a enormous orchidaceae branch to spend a few leisure days. The day was incredibly sunny. The children's father barbequed outside and the children did the rest. What did I do? I enjoyed my day off by snoozing off in the deck chair. I woke up drooling.. dinnertime! Oh how great it is to be a mother!

I got a coffee-smelling packet today from the post. I have taken a new Italian designer, The Primiteve Haren, into my collection. She has been designing models for the past three years. She lives in North Italy and last week she was still extremely excited to have a few inches of snow on the mountains. Crazy Italians! She thought I was mad going on and on about the sunny summer beginning.

So... wonderful 30 count linens. Each piece of fabric is a different color. They smell exactly like coffee.

Otin häneltä myöskin yhden mallin myyntiin. Little Women on tehty tuolle käsinvärjätylle pellavakankaalle ja lankoina on käytetty DMC lankoja. 

I also took one of her models as a part of my collection. Little Women is made on hand-colored linen and uses DMC threads. 

Hänellä on tarjota myös hauskoja pieni koristeita pistelyihin. Tilasin häneltä mahtavia isoja sieniä. Eihän sitä koskaan tiedä mihin niitä tarvitsee.

She also has to offer fun little decorations for stitching. I ordered some astounding big mushrooms. You never know what you'll need them for...

jääkiekkoa....jääkiekkoa...//Ice hockey...

MM jääkiekon jännitys tiivistyy Suomi-Kanada ottelussa. Suomi on tehnyt maaleja JUHUU... Minusta kaikkein parasta tässä kisakatsomossa on kuitenkin hyvät kisakatsomo eväät! No jääkiekko pauhaa tuolla taustalla, mutta minua kiinnostavat enemmän kuitenkin nuo eilen tulleet ihanat Ranskan pellavakankaat. Edelliset tilaamani pellavakankaat menivät ihan hetkessä, joten tilasin niitä lisää. Samalla tilasin muutamia uusia värejä: jaune(kunnon keltainen), framboise (mahtava punainen vattuväri), petunia( hieman violettiin vivahtava), pivoine (tumman punaisen puhuva), saumon (todella lohenpunainen) ja caramel (toffeen värinen).  Näitä olen yrittänyt kuvata tuonne kaupan sivuille, mutta oikean värin saaminen kuvaan on todella haasteellista.

Yet I think the best thing about watching these games are the game-snacks! The sounds of a hockey game are rumbuling away in the background, but I'm way more interested in the linen fabrics that arrived yesterday from France. The last bunch of these same fabrics were all ordered in an instant, so I ordered more for you. At the same time I ordered some new colors: jaune (a bright chick yellow), framboise (a lovely raspberry red), petunia (slightly edging to purple), pivoine (deep red), saumon (a salmon sort of color) and caramel (a toffee colored). I've taken pictures to put on my webstore, but the pictures do no justice to all the fantastic colors.

Olen tilannut Long Dog Samplereita muutamia kappaleita. Mallit ovat huikeita ja todella haastavia tehdä. Toivottavasti jokainen löytää omansa.//I've ordered some Long Dog Samplers. The designs are magnificent and extremely challenging to do. I hope everyone finds their own kind in the lot!

Olen jo kaksi viikkoa sitten tilannut ranskalaisia ristipistolehtiä. Kovin kestävät matkalla. Toivottavasti tulevat pian, että voin niitä teille tarjota.//Two weeks ago I ordered some French cross-stich magazines. They're taking an agonizingly long time coming here. Hoping they arrive soon, so you can get your hands on them!

Ei muuta kuin kisakatsomo eväisiin kiinni.....NAM!//Game snacks....YAM!

Kärräystä...kärräystä.....

Ihanaa istua sohvalla ja katsella kaikkia uusia Atelien malleja ja valmispakkauksia, joita en eilen kiireiltäni ehtinyt kaupan sivuille laittaa enkä blogiin lisätä. Tosin kädet ovat hiukka haravoinnilta tärisevät (ei vapun juhlinnan). Piha on nyt valmis vastaanottamaan kesän. Enää ei puutu kuin pöytä ja tuolit. Niiden paikalla on tosin vielä keko lunta, joka tosin tänäänkin pieneni silmissä.

Perheemme alkaa taas olla kasassa. Poika tuli vapunaattona saksasta jalkapallon peluusta, yksi tyttäristä tulee tänään Lissabonista koripallon peluusta (tai sanonko suoraan, auringon otosta!. Yksi tyttäristä on jälleen tänään hoitanut hoitohevosensa kiiltäväksi. Nuorimmainen on puhallellut löytämänsä saippuakupla pullon tyhjäksi ja ollut rivakkana haravan varressa. Vanhimmainen tytär on selvinnyt helsingissä vapun juhlinnasta kaivopuistosta. Nyt ei ole kuin yksi ylimääräinen...laina koira ja iso sellainen. Mallia maremmano, joka kuulemma on hyvin harvinen. Lähtenee kotiin tämän viikon lopussa. Sitten arki palaa....huh!

Asiaan...Sain siis vapunaattona kaksi pakettia. Atalien pakettia oli kovinkin jo odottanut. Pakkaus sisälsi tilaamiani valmiskittejä niille ihmisille, joilla ei ole lankoja ja kankaita ylimäärin kotona. Ja miksei meille muillekkin. Mallit ovat kaikki uusia. Paketin mukana tuli myöskin lankoja, joita käytetään tilaamissani malleissa.  Lankoja en ole vielä ehtinyt kuvaamaan. Yritän sen tehdä huomenna töiden jälkeen. Laitan muutaman kuvan tilaamistani malleista..... Ylimmäisenä on tuo Hortensia mekko ja alla on Esmeralda, joka löytyy pelkkänä mallina tai kittinä.

Gardening, gardening.......

It's wonderful to sit on the couch and admire all the new Atelie's models and packages that I didn't have time to put up in to my webstore or blog yesterday. Though my hands are a bit shaky from raking leaves (not from celebrating May Day). Our yard is now ready to welcome summer. The only thing missing are the garden table and chairs. Their spot is still under a pile of snow, but that pile got smaller by the second today.

The family is now starting to gather to one place. My son came on May Day's eve from Germany where he was playing soccer. My daughter is coming from Lisbon today, where she was playing basketball (or actually, sunbathing!). My other daughter brushed her lease horse all shiny today as well. My youngest has been blowing soapbubbles and helping out with the raking. My oldest daughter has survived May Day's partying as well. Then there's just one more extra-head.... my daughter's friend's dog, and a big one it is! It's a Maremmano, which is supposedly a pretty rare breed. It'll leave next week. Then normal life comes back, woah!

To the point.... on May Day's eve I got two packages. Atalie's package I had been really waiting for. The package had kits for those of you who don't have yarns or fabrics laying around extra at home. And why not for us others as well. All the designs are new. In the package was also yarns that are used in the kits I ordered. I haven't had time to take pictures of those just yet, I'll try to get to them after work tomorrow. I'll put up a few pictures of the kits I ordered.... On top is ”Hortensia's dress” and below that is ”Esmeralda”, which can be ordered as kit or just as a instruction design.

To al my readers, have a blast waiting for the summertime and let's all keep our heads up till the weekend! Now I'll be waiting for a couple of new packages. The other one is going to be filled with loads of new, fun stuff!
